واحد من أهم معالم القاهرة الدينية التي تقع في حي مصر القديمة أحد أهم أحياء القاهرة التي تعج بالمعالم الدينية. يستمد مسجد عمرو بن العاص أهميته من كونه أول مسجد في إفريقيا ومنبر من منابر العلم الشرعي السابقة قبل تأسيس الأزهر بالإضافة إلى روعة وجمال تصميمه الإسلامي المُميّز من الداخل والخارج كما يتمتع بدرجة عالية من الروحانية والسكينة.
بُني المسجد محل خيمة القائد الإسلامي عمرو بن العاص عام 641 م وضم فيما بعد مدفن ابنه عبد الله بن عمرو بن العاص.

The mosque was built in the place of the tent of the Islamic leader Amr ibn al-Aas in 641 AD and later included the tomb of his son Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-Aas.
